The bilona method is a 5000-year-old traditional process where curd is hand-churned using a wooden churner to separate butter, which is then slowly heated to make ghee. This preserves all natural nutrients, creates the distinctive grainy texture, and gives our ghee its rich, nutty aroma that machine-made ghee can't replicate.
How should I store the ghee and what is its shelf life? -
Store your ghee in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always use a clean, dry spoon to scoop it out. When stored properly, our A2 ghee has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. No refrigeration is needed—ghee is naturally self-preserving!
